It was so surreal to finally see everything I do edited down to such a lovely video. This video ended up airing in several major cities on The List!
It was so much fun to perform in the historic Masonic auditorium!
When I first heard that the Gay Games were coming to Cleveland in 2014, I first knew that I somehow wanted to become a part of it, and second, I tired to picture who I would be and where I would be when they were going on.
I had no idea I would be performing with the lovely ladies of LaFemme Mystique Burlesque. This by far my biggest stage yet, I even had large screens behind me streaming my performances. I was able to share the stage with large acts from all over the world.
I am happy to be a part of what made Cleveland great.
That's me in the black on the right!
I am so happy to have done my first sponsored workshop, this time in conjunction with Arts Collinwood and Neighborhood Connection.
I was able to have a make and take workshop where people of all ages were able to decorate their hoops with a wide variety of tapes and then have a free beginner hoop class! I had 3 generations of some families all have the power of hoops bring them together. I was able to give the gift of confidence and fitness to some folks who wouldn't necessarily be able to afford a 5 pack of hoops.
The stage was perfect for my evening fire show as well!
The beautiful painted rain barrels, free food and lovely garden were a perfect atmosphere for such a wonderful class.I hope to be able to give more hoops away soon! It was such an honor to be a part of the wonderful Collinwood community.
For the past three years I have looked forward to Christmas for a chance to perform my favorite act, "A Remix-mas Story". Every year it gets bigger and better, and I find new venues to perform around Cleveland.
The famous movie "A Christmas Story" was filmed mostly in here in Cleveland, giving us alot of hometown pride for the movie. I have also created many versions of this act including both family friendly and cabaret style burlesque.
This year was the 30th anniversary of the movie, and I was elated when I heard I would be performing at the Renaissance hotel for the Christmas Story Convention! I held the stage for "Mrs. Porter's little piggy luncheon" and performed directly in front of a table full of actors from the movie. They were so impressed to see my act they felt the need to record it! I am so honored to have been a part of this, and to have shared a stage with one of my former hoop student by surprise when the Pop Rocks came to join the show! I attached the video above if you feel like taking a peek!
I was even able to help raise over 120 toy for Toys for Tots this year as well with my act! I can't wait until next year!
The morning after the 2013 VMA awards I woke up to a call from my boss at the dance studio asking if I could teach an emergency Twerkshop™ for a show called "The List" by 1pm.... It was 10:30am and I was in my PJs and previous night's make-up.
Apparently, Miley Cyrus made a fool of herself on national television, I just didn't know yet. Life was giving me a pop quiz and I quickly studied her video of poorly constucted shock pop and had to figure out how to teach a male reporter how to twerk, also on national television.
I ended up teaching about a 15 minute lesson and demo with absolutley no warm up or stretching, but, thanks to a wonderful editor, I came accross as a lady. My grandma can safely watch the 7pm News.

I was invited by the Cleveland Bartenders Guild to help in thier campaign to raise funds for the family of Martin Richard, the 8 year old who lost his life in the Boston Bombings.
With the Alice in Wonderland themed debut of the Hypnotic Hoopsters, my hoop troop, the week before it was natural to try the same act but a little bit different. Each character had their own song and I would need to find ways to raise money.
I started to rent hoops for $1 and then proceeded to hold hoop contests for $1 a game. In the end, with the help of both Katie and Jeanne, we were able to raise $76 towards helping a family with a lifetime of grief.
My favorite time of year, Hessler! This year was bigger and better than ever. I was honored to have a prime spot Saturday night to have a large scale hoop and fire show in front of such a lovely crowd. This year's theme was "Alice in Wonderland" and I was very excited to work with the theme, and of course to get all of my friends involved.
I constructed a 4 person Chinese dragon style caterpillar from hoops and a large piece of spandex to open the show. Then my good friend and lovely assistant Katie Linch came onstage as a stunning Alice. Anna N. Pajamas came on next in a darling white rabbit costume and then proceeded into a duet between Jeanne Kasper (The Chesire Cat) and myself dresses as the Queen of Hearts.
